John Kane was called to be our pastor in October 2005. His ministry emphasis is expository preaching, discipleship and pastoral care. His ministry experience consists of over 10 years in various lay leadership roles such as being a deacon, worship leader, adult and children's Bible teacher. He has also served on the pastoral staff of 2 churches as an assistant pastor. Pastor John's wife Janet is a registered nurse, but now "works" as full-time wife and mother of the Kane's 2 children. She also teaches our Ladies' Bible study, serves on our Ladies' Planning Committe, and is involved in children's Sunday School. In their spare time the Kane's enjoy spending time together as a family |

Dwight and Clorina have been members of our church since 1990. Dwight serves as Chairman of our deacon board, teaches an adult Sunday School Class, and serves in other areas as needed. Dwight is a doctor of optometry and served our nation in the Air Force for over 20 years in this capacity retiring with the rank of “Major.” One of Clorina's gifts is serving so she can be found cleaning, buying supplies, or serving around the church in various other ways. Dwight and Clorina have three (3) children and their hobbies include RV'ing and taking care of their grandchildren.

Jim and Verna have been members of our church since 1990. Jim is originally from Mississippi and Verna from Tennessee. They have lived in Citrus Heights for over 40 years. Jim is retired as a manager from McClellan AFB overseeing such things as loading Air Force cargo planes. Jim and Verna have been married for 54 years and raised 6 children. Jim has served on our deacon board for over 8 years. They enjoy working in their garden, grandkids, and serving the Lord in our church in all kinds of ways. |
